Barry Hyman
Having started his career as a securities broker with a global financial services firm, Barry Hyman brought 16 years of investment experience to FIM Group when he opened our Maui office in March of 1997. Initially, he served as branch manager with additional responsibilities as portfolio manager. Barry earned his M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where he also studied Business and Economics. Prior to working within the financial services industry, Barry spent ten years as an engineer in Silicon Valley as a business development manager in the telecommunications electronics industry.

Barry has served on community boards, chaired fund-raisers and served as president of his Jewish Congregation. Barry has been an active board member of the Kihei/Wailea Rotary since 1992.
Judy McCorkle
Judy McCorkle has been actively involved in estate and financial planning, probate, trust administration and investment management since 1980. For 12 years, from 1983 to 1995, she served as assistant vice president of First Hawaiian Bank's assets management division for the island of Maui. She left that post to set up the Maui office of George D. Kinder Financial Services. In January 1996, she formed her own company and served as president of Judy McCorkle Estate and Financial Services, Inc. In April 2002, Judy joined Financial & Investment Management Group, Ltd. as a senior estate and financial planner.

Judy is a certified financial planner (CFP®) and a certified trust & financial advisor (CTFA). Judy participated in the Peace Corps training program on the Big Island in 1971 and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ulithi Atoll of the Yap district from 1971 to 1973. In 1975 she managed a documentation center for the United Nations in Gabon, West Africa.

A native of Oklahoma, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University and subsequently attended National Trust School at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. A resident of Maui since 1983, Judy is married to Tom Reed, a technology and recycling executive.

Judy has served on numerous nonprofit boards and endowment committees over the past 20 years. She currently is a member of the Wailuku Rotary Club and is serving on their international service committee.
Alice McDermott
Alice McDermott joined FIM Group in February of 1997, as office manager. In 1998 she decided to pursue a career in financial planning where she became involved in financial, tax and retirement planning services for our clients. Among her professional accomplishments, Alice has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board) to use the certification marks CFP in accordance with CFP Board certification and renewal requirements. These marks identify those individuals who have met the rigorous education, examination, experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board.

In addition, Alice holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she studied Finance and Accounting.
Cathy Howard
Cathy Howard joined Financial & Investment Management Group in January of 2007, as a member of the client services team. Prior to moving to Maui in 2000, Cathy lived in Florida where she worked for Raymond James Financial, Inc. for over nine years. Her positions there included Eagle Asset Management Institutional Marketing, client services associate and information services senior help center analyst. Cathy graduated with honors from St. Petersburg Junior College with an Associate of Arts degree.
Linda Barcheski
Linda Barcheski grew up in Seattle and attended Washington State University. After college, she worked for Westin Hotels in Seattle, and shortly thereafter was transferred to open their first Maui hotel. Linda met and married Randy, a Hawaii-born resident. Linda has two daughters, Sasha and Kristen, both currently attending colleges. In 2008, Linda joined FIM Group in Client Services. Her experience in administration, client services, and division coordinator make her an excellent addition to our team.
